Supercharge Google RSS with ZapTXT

Search Engine Land just broke the news that Google will be offering RSS feeds for Google search results on its main site.  A feature long available on Google Blog Search, you can now receive important information via RSS or Google Email alerts when topics you care about show up the goog. Good stuff.

Take that a step further by plugging the feed into ZapTXT or clicking on our browser bookmarklet and you get some awesomeness:

  • Further filter the feed using our search to reduce the noise
  • Monitor the feed via any IM client (MSN, Yahoo, AIM, Gtalk, Skype), Mobile Device or Email
  • If its really important, our presence aware features will find you where ever you might be (heres how)
  • Share important tasks you create with ZapTXT with colleagues and friends
  • Broadcast important finds via Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and Digg using links found in our Email and IM notifications.

For the RSS aware, our RSS Readers are starting to look like the pile of magazines on our desks that we never read. So if it can wait, use an RSS Reader. If you can’t afford to miss it, use ZapTXT.
